Noun
A close friend or confidant.
All of us wants to be intimate, to be close to someone.
It's being open, being vulnerable, & dependent.
We trust in that particular person, & we let them in & share with them the deepest parts of us - our hopes, our dreams, our fears, our secrets.
Come to think of it, haven't all of us been a little too selfish?
Much of the world just want to bask in the emotional or maybe physical benefits of intimacy, & wants it to just revolve around us alone.
The world says:
Love, is to fufill one's own needs of the moment & to comfort self.
Love, is nothing but just a feeling.
Love, is beyond one's control.
Everytime I think about it, I feel like laughing but can't bring myself to.
Feelings that we feel might not necessary do good to others.
Why are we making love seem like it's falling into a bottomless pit or even worst, a mental disorder?
We think that love is something that's waaaaaayyy beyond our control, & thus we cant be held reponsible for anything.
Sure, we know that we've been rather rash, & we know we have broken a few hearts along the way, but we couldn't help it.
Afterall, we were in love.
Everyone keeps telling us to follow our hearts.
But have you people realised that it's often by following our hearts, that we get ourselves hurt?
Your head may tell you, "That guy's a jerk."
But your hearts screams, "That guy's a jerk but I'm in love with him."
The heart definitely does not like to take orders from the head.
If all of us were created without hearts, without these feelings & emotions, then perhaps it'll be easier to deal with all of this nonsense.
But too bad we weren't.
The only thing that we can do, is to deal with it.
